Church Street Bridal is a bridal salon with a mission!

Our Dresses

Sample gowns from full service salons, like Kleinfeld’s in New York and Jenny Yoo in New York/Chicago, are donated to Church Street Bridal. (Click here to view a full list of our donors.) These gowns have been tried on by other brides, but have never been worn by a bride on their special day. Church Street Bridal does not accept donations of consigned or previously worn gowns.

Our dresses range from bridal size* 2 through size 22, in a large range of styles and shades of ivory and white. Church Street Bridal discounts the sample gowns from their original retail price,.so our brides can expect to see dresses ranging in price $200 to $600.

*A note about bridal sizing: A woman who typically wears a size 8 will fit into a bridal size 10 or 12, because of the difference between typical, American clothing sizing and bridal sizing.

Your Bridal Experience:

Whether you make time to come in with your mother or come in on a whim, you will be greeted by a bridal consultant who is ready to help you find your dream dress. Walk-ins are welcome and you do not have to make an appointment to come to Church Street Bridal and shop for your wedding gown. Click here to view our hours!

Upon arrival, our consultants will help brides find their bridal size and find different styles of dresses to try on. Our consultants, after working with brides of all ages and sizes, recommend that brides set aside 1-2 hours to shop, bring shoes comparable to what they would like to wear on their wedding day, and take photos of dresses to help find “the one” for their big day.

Our Mission

Since 2004, proceeds from Church Street Bridal specifically benefit the YWCA’s Domestic Violence Prevention Program (DVPP) and Sexual Assault Response Program (SARP). Not only do our brides look beautiful and feel confident on their wedding days, but they support women and children in desperate need of advocacy and services here in Central Virginia!

We also have a formal wear salon that sells designer prom gowns, mother-of-the-bride gowns, and bridesmaids dresses called Church Street Bridal, Too.
